Recent Events
The Armstrong World Industries Asbestos Personal Injury Settlement Trust issued a Notice of Payment Percentage Reduction dated October 5, 2026: the Trustees determined the payment percentage should be decreased from 10.8% to 7.8% and requested TAC and FCR consent. Under TDP §4.3 the Trust pays claims at the proposed 7.8% from the October 5, 2026 Proposal Date, except releases transmitted before the Proposal Date (or within 30 days of receipt) pay at 10.8%, and deceased/incompetent claimants with pending court or probate approval pay at the percentage in effect when the offer was first made. If a higher percentage is ultimately adopted, the Trust will make supplemental payments. The notice resolves the TDP §4.2 reconsideration announced June 11, 2026.
